Sexual Desire Declines In Old Age Is Not True
Sexuality seems to decrease one’s own health or sexual functioning of a restrictive role in women’s of higher age but rather the health situation of the partner. The result of a recent U.S. study by the Universities of California and San Francisco to Alison Huang are the following,

Of the nearly 2000 women examined, 45 to 80 years reported 43 percent of moderate sexual desire. 60 percent of the participants were within the past three months have been sexually active. Half of these women described their sexual satisfaction as a medium to high. Also, more than one fourth of women above 65 years to have sex from moderate to high interest. Of women reported within this age group, one third has been sexually active for the last quarter.
The women, who had no sex, they most often lack of sexual interest as the reason (39%). Other reasons were that they had no partner (36), physical problems of the partners (23) or no interest in sexuality (11). Only nine percent reported their own health problems, which prevented them on sex. The study also evaluated masturbation as a sexual activity.
The authors study conclude that sexuality and sexual interest are present in the higher age for the majority of women. The treatment of sexual problems should often involve the partner, because in many cases the reason was sexual inactivity.
